The Band Perry Scores Grammy Nomination for 'If I Die Young'!

From the press release:

The Band Perry (Kimberly, Neil and Reid) heard of their first-ever Grammy nomination mid-show last night while performing to a capacity crowd in Calgary, Alberta, Canada during a special show for Calgary 105 FM listeners.

As the sibling trio prepared to launch into their current #1 hit "If I Die Young," the show was stopped by a Big Machine Label Group/Republic Nashville representative who gave the band and their audience the amazing news.

As the crowd went wild, Kimberly Perry, who wrote the band's runaway hit was nearly speechless saying, "Thank you - this has been a whirlwind year and we have you guys and Country radio to thank."

The Band Perry gave a bow of acknowledgment to the cheers of the crowd and did what they do best, performed the rest of a fantastic, high energy show.

Earlier this week, The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young” hit #1 on the US Country radio charts, according to both Billboard Magazine and Country Aircheck/USA Today powered by Mediabase.
