David Nail Debuts New Single from Upcoming Album
Newly anointed with Grammy nominee honors for Best Male Vocal Country Performance for his last single “Turning Home,” MCA Nashville’s David Nail is wasting no time in delivering what’s sure to be another vocal standout.
“Let It Rain,” written by Nail and Jonathan Singleton and produced by Frank Liddell and Chuck Ainlay, is the debut single from his forthcoming 2011 as-yet-untitled release. “Rain” officially goes for radio adds Monday but can be sampled now at www.davidnail.com. The single will be available for purchase at www.itunes.com and www.amazon.com beginning Tuesday, February 8.
“Jonathan came in with the groove, and the words just came rather effortlessly,” explained Nail about the 2010 summer writing session that produced “Rain.” “As the track came together in the studio, it just became more and more evident that this particular song was unique. Having Sarah Buxton play such an important background vocal role brought it to an even-more-powerful, emotional level. I’m extremely excited to be back on the radio with something new.”
Despite the weather conditions, Nail made good on his show last night in St. Louis Park , Minnesota , and will play Chicago ’s famed Joe’s Bar tonight and Pontiac , Illinois ’ Crystal Palace Saturday night. Nail will then take to the West Coast with a couple California gigs before opening an already sold-out show at Los Angeles’ Troubadour alongside Dierks Bentley.
