Jane Lynch has finally tied the knot with her long-term partner and fiancee Lara Embry. On Memorial Day, May 31, the "Glee" star said her "I do" in front of about 21 guests, who attended the "small, warm, intimate" nuptials, on the outdoor patio of Blue Heron Restaurant in Sunderland, Massachusetts.
Us Magazine reported that the 20-minute ceremony began at 5.30 P.M. and the reception lasted until 10 P.M. For the special event, Lynch wore a cream wrap blouse and black slacks, while Embry donned a cream and black cocktail-length dress. "They were very happy. There was lots of smiling," Blue Heron's manager Scott Mercure told the magazine.
Mercure detailed that the happy couple treated their guests with striped sea bass, duck and a three-tiered wedding cake filled with chocolate mousse and vanilla-cream frosting. He further stated that the guests were entertained with jazz music and "a variety" of tunes for "upbeat dancing".
Offering more details on the guests was the restaurant's co-owner Deborah Snow. To People magazine, she said, "There were no celebrities or recognizable faces there. Lara's daughter was there, along with close, close friends of the couple. It was small, warm, intimate and very sweet. You could feel the love and friendship amongst the group."
Jane Lynch has confirmed that she is indeed engaged to Lara Embry back in mid-April. Admitting she has been engaged to her psychologist girlfriend since November 2009, the 49-year-old actress who fills the voice of a female ogre in "Shrek Forever After" told Us magazine, "I'm thrilled. Great, it's really great. I never thought that this is something I wanted."
