Breaking Bad : I See You

In and episode a tad slower than last week's heart pounding climax, Jesse is discharged from the hospital but on his way out, he meets an ambulance which opens to reveal Hank in a critical condition. Feeling happy for the first time, Jesse goes over to Walt's new lab and acts like he always does, causing Walt's old assistant to question his judgement. Jesse tells Walt about Hank, and he rushes off to the hospital, leaving Jesse to cover at the lab.

Walt finds his entire family, Gomez and the police chief waiting anxiously at the hospital for news about Hank. Marie loses control and starts blaming everyone for Hank's attack because he was suspended and didn't have his gun with him. she kicks Gomez and the police chief out of the room, and cries in Walt's arms.

Cousin #1, the one who got crushed, also turned up at the hospital, however he no longer had legs. When Gomez brought Walt to see him, the episode's title becomes clear as Cousin #1 looks at Walt and then crawls out of bed towards him, hoping to avenge Tuco's death. The look on Walt's face when he saw the crippled bald man's angry expression is priceless. Bryan Cranston should really win an Emmy for his act.

Meanwhile, the cartel leader calls Gus and demands answers to why his men disobeyed his orders. Gus feigned ignorance but was unsettled when informed that one of the cousin's was still alive. From this poiunt, it is clear that Gus hoped that Hank will kill the cousins to prevent them from killing Walt. Looks like his plan only worked halfway.

He calls Walt, who lies about problems at the lab and claims that he be unable to finish the batch in time. He never mentions Hank, unaware that Gus was the cause of his condition. Gus visits the hospital, donating chicken from Los Pollos to feed all the policemen gathered there. Walt is shocked to see him and asks if his family is in danger, but Gus denies it.

Back in Cousin #1's room, Mike emerges and drops a used needle into a box, before walking away. Moments later, Cousin #1 dies, and the doctors were unable to resuscitate him. So Gus served as the distraction while Mike finished the job for him. When the cartel's leader hears about his man's death, he threatens to expose Gus's hand behind it but before he could, gunmen stormed his house and killed him and his men. Miles away, Gus smiles, breaks the phone he was using in two and dumps it into a dustbin.

Finally, we see how powerful Gus truly is. Clearly he wields more power than the cartel leader, which means his hand stretches far across others' territorries. Walt is right to be afraid for his family's safety, for Gus would stop at nothing to get what he wants. If Walt doesn't keep up his end of the deal, I'm pretty sure that the next target would be Walt's family. Poor Holly and Walter Jr.

Only 5 episodes left. How will this season end? Because there's a fourth season, we can safely assume that Walt will not die, but I'm sure someone will, either a member of Walt's family, or Gus himself. That would make a very explosive ending, if Walt takes over Gus' mantle as the drug lord.
