House : Glee?

Before I say anything, watch this video.

Surprised? Well, I was! Is House turning into Glee somehow? But aside from that, I was surprised that Eric Close (Foreman) could sing! He never looked much like a singer, except maybe a rap/R&B one. Chase obviously couldn't. They' should've let either House or Foreman take the lead. Hugh Laurie definitely can sing, or else he wouldn't be in the Band from TV, would he?

Well, aside from a Gleeful occurence in this week's House, everything else takes place like a normal episode of House, well, except the fact that he woke up in his neighbour's child's bed. (Love the tiny rocket patterns!)

This time, they get a gay turned straight man who faints at the altar. Apparently, he changed his sexual orientation by electric-shocking himself out of it during therapy. Ouch. No thanks. And as a result of being pumped full of male hormones, he starts lactating. Ooops.... Looks like something went very wrong. Maybe he isn't supposed to question his sexuality and attempt to change it.

Anyway, to find out the source of the problem, House gathers the patient, his ex-future-wife and his ex-boyfriend in the same room and starts questioning them about their sex lives. AWKWARD! Classic House moment! In the end, House thinks of the cure, like he always does, and they cure the patient.

Another interesting aspect of this episode is House's attempts to slavage Taub's marriage after he fell into the arms of slutty Blondie. He informs Taub's wife that Taub has signed up for ceramic class, resulting in him having to buy pottery of the net to show to his wife every week. And House makes it worse by bidding for the items Taub wants until they become terribly expensive. Finally, Taub relents, thanks House and goes back to his wife. Well, he said he did. Not sure if he's lying just to get House to back off off his love life.

House isn't that outstanding this week, compared to Breaking Bad and 24, but it has its share of uncanny moments, such as House pouring the lactating gay-turned-straight male patient's milk into his coffee. His whole team watches as he lifts the cup to his mouth, but he orders them to leave and puts it down without drinking it. So funny!

Well, at episode 19, House is going to end soon, just like the two shows I mentioned earlier. Hope it gets a strong ending like the one two seasons earlier. Season 5 wasn't that good if you ask me. So, conclusion, this week was entertaining (for it's Glee-inspired moment) but not outstanding in any case. Well, next week might be better so I'll keep my fingers crossed!
