Glee Losing Its Gleefulness?

After the much-hyped first season, which was pretty good by the way, the second half of the season began. While watching it, I couldn’t help drawing parallels to the housewives of Wisteria Lane. The characters are getting increasingly desperate to get laid. Rachel and Finn break up, and she falls for the lead singer of Dancing Adrenaline, their biggest rival for Regionals, not realizing that he is simply playing her. Dumb girl. The entire Glee club is threatening to quit if she doesn’t break off the relationship, but you know Rachel. She’s a very stubborn girl.
For Mr. Schu, after breaking up with his wife, he falls into the arms of the brunette (I can’t remember her name) and they dance to Will’s song during his first prom with his wife. Oops, big mistake there. Then he visits Dancing Adrenaline to see why their lead singers are screwing each other, but things ended up getting pretty steamy between Will and the female coach of DA. Wow, never saw that coming! Will, a Casanova? Ok, that’s weird. And now brunette is pissed off with him, his wife is pissed off with him, and lady coach doesn’t seem o eager to leap into bed with him.
Probably the best thing that happened was the return of Sue Sylvester, Will’s arch enemy and continuous hater of the Glee club. Apparently, she drugged the principal and took pictures of them in bed together, threatening to expose them if he didn’t reinstate her. Cool moves, Sue! But her hate for the Glee Club is starting to get a little annoying, especially as she has no reason to hate them at all. They’re already at the bottom of the pack, so why bother? Maybe she has some repressed teenage memories about Glee club or something? Whatever. The producers had better reveal the reason soon, for the storyline’s getting old.
After watching this episode, I was disappointed. The title was Hell-O, but I think a more appropriate one would be Desperade-O. Everyone’s so desperate all of a sudden, even docile Mr Schu. WTF is going on here? Hopefully the next episode picks up a little, because Glee’s reputation is fast falling in my book.
