House Tops the Week!

House is finally back with us again! After a two (or maybe three) weeks hiatus, our favorite grumpy doctor returns with a bang. Lockdown pairs up the characters of the show and forces them to examine their innermost feelings and express them without fear, and wow, the couplings were odd!

After a baby is kidnapped, the hospital goes into lockdown mode, confining every member to their respective locations at that particular moment. Thirteen and Wilson end up in the cafetaria, Taub and Foreman in the records room, Chase and Cameron (OMG) in an examination room, and finally House and a dying patient.

For the first pair, Thirteen and Wilson face off on a dangerous game of Truth or Dare after failing to start a conversation. Wilson finds out how deceptive Thirteen truly is when all her truths were actually lies. He dares her to reveal her breasts to Taub, and she retaliates by telling him to steal a dollar from the cashier. Haha. Guess who was more embarrassed afterwards. Yes, Wilson! He plays it off like an amateur, getting caught in the act with the entire cafetaria staring at him. Ouch. Thirteen simply walks up to Taub, unbuttons her shirt and leaves him dumbfounded. LOL!

Secondly comes Taub and Foreman, who decide to be House for the day. Sneaking a few Vicodins, they get high and end up sneaking looks at each others' files, punching each other in the face and playing catch around the room. It's kinda weird to see Foreman's funny side, he's always so serious.

As for Chase and Cameron, she reutrns to the hospital with divorce papers, and they head off to an empty examination room to talk about it. After the lockdown, they find themselves confined together, and Chase starts firing Cameron with questions about her true feeling's for him. "I don't know," she says, relieving Chase of the guilt that what was happening was his fault. So Chase signs the papers. But she later confesses that she did love him, but she was damaged beyond repair. they end up kissing, and making love on a gurney. Wow. Does this mean Cameron is back?

Lastly is House, who finds amny similarities between himself and the dying man. They were both alone, with no one who cares about them, and afraid of commitment. House finally admits that he still had feelings for piano girl (from the mental hospital) because she changed him. But then she left him and he's kinda not over it. this is the first time we see the softer side of House since his rehab, and it's pretty sad.

All in all, this episode is really good, shoving 24 of the top spot for my best television series of the week. A lot of emotion is portrayed here, when the characters finally accept who they are, especially House. I'm a sucker for emotional scenes, so this one pretty much got me. And the Thirteen/Wilson thing was hilarious! She even succeeded in getting him to go out for dinner with his ex-wife, which he was initially apprehensive of doing. In return, Wilson encourages her to tell her father about her sexuality and Huntington's.

Lockdown goes on to show how far the characters in House have come since the first episode of season 1. They have all developed mentally and emotionally into better people who are more responsible for their mistakes, even House. Should be interesting to see what happens next week, don't you think?
